Agawa Train Ride

We crossed in to Canada so we could go on the train ride we had heard about.  We were actually a bit disappointed.  It was a slow noisy ride all the other people were busy talking talking.

Camping

We tried for a family camping trip Labor Day week end but it  only worked out for 3 of the 5 families to make it & we camped only one night.  It was Sunday night we camped.  We (Dad/Grandpa & Mom/Grandma) had not been camping in years.   We dug out of old tent & checked to see if it was water proof, it wasn't.  So we treated it.  But when we went to go to bed, I couldn't handle being "trapped" in it.  So I went out to the van to sleep.  So some how in the process of sleeping out there I turned on the DVD player so when we went to leave the battery was dead.  So we had to have a jump start so we could leave.

Do you want a bag?

We were in Canada last week.  I went to two Walmarts to see if they had cotton yarn that I use to make dish clothes.  I am always on the out look for new colors.  The first one didn't even have that kind of yarn the second had a lot of colors I didn't have.  So I picked 8 12 ounce skeins.  The check out girl as me "Do you want a bag?"  So did she think I wanted to walk out carrying these eight skeins with out a bag.  I thought it was a silly question.  What do you think?

Another Load to Give Away. :)

We finally took the yard sale left overs to a place locally that is sort of like Goodwill.  This is how our van looked loaded up.  Glad to have this taken care of.

Curtains, Curtains, Curtains

I needed to redo curtains in our kitchen, dinning room & living room.  I had it in my mind & was thinking on them for several months but had other things that were more pressing.  Part of it too was I had in mind what I wanted for the kitchen but was having trouble finding the right kind of fabric.  The picture at the top to the right it the kitchen curtain.  I have also cute chicken accessories sitting in the kitchens too.  Middle picture is the dinning room.  I had to piece it to make it work.  So I covered the seam with black ribbon.  The bottom picture is the living room curtains.  Most people won't even know they are new as the fabric is the same.  I had left over fabric from making them before. Since we liked the pattern/design we wanted to just use it. There wasn't quite enough so I had to add a dark blue ruffle to the
bottom.  So I am well pleased as the curtains didn't cost us much, just mostly my time.
