Curtains, Curtains, Curtains

I needed to redo curtains in our kitchen, dinning room & living room.  I had it in my mind & was thinking on them for several months but had other things that were more pressing.  Part of it too was I had in mind what I wanted for the kitchen but was having trouble finding the right kind of fabric.  The picture at the top to the right it the kitchen curtain.  I have also cute chicken accessories sitting in the kitchens too.  Middle picture is the dinning room.  I had to piece it to make it work.  So I covered the seam with black ribbon.  The bottom picture is the living room curtains.  Most people won't even know they are new as the fabric is the same.  I had left over fabric from making them before. Since we liked the pattern/design we wanted to just use it. There wasn't quite enough so I had to add a dark blue ruffle to the
bottom.  So I am well pleased as the curtains didn't cost us much, just mostly my time.

My Knee Surgery

         


 March 1st I had knee surgery for a torn meniscus.  This is my first knee surgery & Ed has had many & he said this would be a piece of cake.  So I went into it thinking that.  If this was a piece of cake I don't know as I want to have any more.  Guess I should back up a bit, first I had to have an MRI & a stress test as my EKG looked bad. (It ended up being just a bad machine).  I have catastrophia So both were very stressful for me.  But I got to surgery day ok & all went well.  A few days later I started bruising which made the leg really hurt.  Of all of Ed's surgeries on his knee only once did it bruise like mine & he said that one hurt more than the others.  Sure wished mine hadn't bruised.  I am still have pain in the muscles behind the leg.

 

Visit to Arizona

 We made trip to visit our oldest daughter & her family in Surprise, Arizona.  We were there Jan. 28th to the 4th of Feb.  It had been 5 years since we had been there.  Following is just a few pictures of the time there.

Speical Dates

This is our latest project.  It started out as my idea but since I couldn't do some of it my hubby did most of the work.  He is such a sweet guy.  We soon to have 22 grand children & I thought it would be neat to have all their birthdays listed like this.  We also put in our kids birthdays & their spouses plus their anniversaries too. 

Happy 91st Birthday

 My Mom turned 91 on the 23rd of September.  We had a party for her at Pizza Hut.  She enjoyed herself.

Sunset on Little Traverse Bay at Petoskey

 We took a couple days for a mini vacation.  We went to Petoskey.  Stayed at a motel with a good deal of half off.  They also have meals all day long & free hair cuts.  The name of it is @ Michigan Inn & Lodge.  While there we went to the beach & got these pretty pictures.  It was not the prettiest sunset we have seen but pretty all the same.
